To the south of tombs B1, B2, and B3, the hypogeum B8 stands
independent and has a layout of its own : two levels connected by an interior
stairway. This tomb stands somewhat apart and would seem to have been
cut at one go during the Early Imperial period, and thus did not experience
successive organisational transformations or enlargements as did its neighbours.
One can also note the homogenous fashion in which the loculi were cut,
the absence of traces of plaster used to seal the loculi and the fact
that the bones were systematically emptied from this tomb.
