august 2002

In 2001 a permanent GPS station was established on the roof of the building that holds the CEA premises in the heart of Alexandria. A GPS antenna and receiver, connected to a computer, register satellite observations 24 hours a day. The data is made available for free on the internet, which represents a first in Egypt.
